From the Troy Daily Times, Troy, NY, January 7, 1890: Milo Barnum died suddenly yesterday morning, aged eighty-three years, at the residence of his son, Theodore F. Barnum, at Washington Park. Mr. Barnum was formerly engaged in the flour-mill business at Black Rock, near Buffalo, but for many years past had resided in Troy. He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Rebecca Barnum, who is a sister of E. W. and E. M. Boughton and by three sons and two daughters: Theodore F. and Fred. W. Barnum, of this city, and Ezra Barnum of Washington, D. C., Mrs. Sarah Gertrude Thompson, widow of the late I. Grant Thompson, formerly editor of the Albany Law Journal and Mrs. Mary Frazer, a resident of Brooklyn. Mr. Barnum early in life united with the Presbyterian Church and gave unmistakable evidence of his preparation for another and better life. The interment will be at Oakwood.
