Notes for Enoch BARNUM


Enoch was a veteran of the War of 1812, having served as a youth of 18 in a Vermont regiment. His veteran's pension is mentioned in Army and Navy Pension Laws, and Bounty Land Laws of the United States, as follows: "Enoch Barnum, at the rate of eight dollars per month, to commence on the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and seventeen."
