EDITH I. BROWN BARNUM (23 Dec 1896 - 29 Sep 1984)

LYNDONVILLE - Mrs. Edith I. BARNUM, 87, formerly of Eagle St., died Saturday at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Medina, where she had been a patient for the last 10 years. She was born Dec. 23, 1896 in Buffalo to the late Arthur and Esther (REIMITZ) BROWN. Mrs. Barnum lived in Lyndonville most of her life. She was a member of the Yates Baptist Church of Lyndonville, and the Sunday School Class of the church. She had at one time worked for Lyndonville Canning Co.

Her husband, Vernon L. BARNUM died in Aug. 1964. Survivors include two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Charles (Esther) HEDLEY of Lyndonville, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) GEIGER of Medina, Vernon (Edna) BARNUM of Medina, Weldon (Donna) BARNUM of Medina; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Claude (Edna) WILSON of Albion, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours were held today from 1 until 3 p.m. with a funeral service at 3 p.m. at the Barnes-Tuttle Inc. Funeral Home, 112 North Main St. The Rev. David Houseman officiated and burial was in Lynhaven Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Medina.
