A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
Lydia was born in 1730 to Samuel Belden and Mary Burt Hastings. She died in 1789. Samuel died when the oldest child was 7 years old and the youngest unborn. The children were placed under guardianship. Anna was married at the home of her guardian Stephen King in Lanesboro, Massachusetts. Samuel Skeel was living in Kent, Connecticut in 1748 when he was married to Lydia Belden and also in 1749 when William Judd signed over the Skeel estate. The children were all born in Southbury, Connecticut where they were living in 1751.
