Notes for Elizabeth Estelle BARNUM

Elizabeth "Bettie" Barnum Anderson died peacefully Oct. 10, 2007 with her loving family by her side. She was born July 26, 1927 in Alliance, Neb. to George and Johanna Barnum. She is preceded in death by both parents; and husband, S.R. Dick Anderson. She is survived by sisters, Delores (Calvin) Walker, Sue (Kent) Ashby; sons, David Pettigrew, Scott (Ann) Anderson, Craig (Joyce) Anderson, Kory (Teresa) Anderson, Shon (Lisa) Anderson; daughter, Sherilyn (Craig) Thompson; and 10 grandchildren. Bettie was dearly loved and showed genuine caring, love and concern for everyone she met. She was a longtime faithful member of the Bountiful congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses where her acts of kindness were most evident as she steadfastly shared Bible truths with others in the Bountiful area. Even in the face of health difficulties during her later years, she faithfully persisted in this course. One of her favorite scriptures kept her reliance strong, "For I, Jehovah your God, am grasping your right hand, the one saying to you, 'Do not be afraid, I myself will help you'" (Isaiah 41:13) Bettie will be dearly missed for now, but family and friends look forward to seeing her soon in God's promised new order. A memorial service will be held at the Bountiful Kingdom Hall, Friday October 19th at 7 p.m., 355 East 900 North, Bountiful. "Remember to keep your coats on."
