BARNUM -- Florence Marie Barnum, age 92, of Raton, NM passed away Sunday, March 26, 2006 in Raton. She was born March 16, 1914, the daughter of Blas and Porfiria Chavez-Bernal. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert J. Barnum Sr.; one daughter, Margaret; four brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by five daughters: Alice Solano and Fermin (deceased) of Grants, NM, Royce Ceal and Church of Grants, NM, Gloria Tafoya and Ernest of Raton, NM, Elaine Gonzales and Nick of Raton, NM, and Bonnie Lucero and Clarence of Grants, NM; one son, Albert Barnum, Jr. and Eleanor of Aztec, NM; one sister, Elsie Baca of Albuquerque, NM; and special cousins, Joe and Frances Martinez of Raton, NM; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 28, 2006 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel. A second Service will be Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grants Mortuary Chapel in Grants, NM. Burial will be in the Grants Memorial Cemetery in Grants, NM. Arrangements for Florence Marie Barnum are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton and the Grants Mortuary of Grants, NM. Visitation will take place today, Tuesday, March 28, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton. One funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, at Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton and a second service will be held at Grants Mortuary Chapel in Grants at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 30. Burial will be in the Grants Memorial Park in Grants. Arrangements are under the direction of Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton and Grants Mortuary in Grants.
