"The deceased leaves a sorrowing husband... relatives and friends who will long cherish the memory of the departed faithful and loving wife and mother. The funeral was held Sunday last and services were conducted in the Haney Valley church by Rev. Cain of the Congregational Church of Prairie du Chien. The bereaved husband and children were nearly prostrated with grief, and the funeral was said to be one of the most sad as well as the largest in the remembrance of those who attended."
Burial in Haney Valley Cemetery, Crawford County, Wisconsin. Cause of Death: Pneumonia. Medical Information: "after suffering for ten days." Residence: 1905, Seneca, Wisconsin at the County Farm.

[BARNUM 01-27-01.GED] Sarah Ella Barnum. Mrs. Ella Scoville was born in the Town of Haney, Crawford County, Wisconsin, April 13, 1858 and died at her home in Seneca Friday evening, January 27, 1905, after about 10 days of suffering from pneumonia. She was married to A. N. Scoville of Seneca, March 16, 1880. To them four children were born, two sons Charles and Marion and two daughters, Mrs Lorenzo Haskins (Arminda Mae (Minnie)) and Miss Nellie Sabra Scoville. Besides the above children the deceased leaves a sorrowing husband, a sister, Mrs. Sabra Haskins of Sioux City, Iowa and a brother Marion Richard Barnum and a her mother Mrs. Edward Seth Barnum and many other relatives and friends who will long cherish the memory of the departed faithful and loving wife and mother. The funeral was held Sunday and services were conducted at the Haney Valley Church, by Rev. Cain of Praire du Chein. The bereaved husband and children were nearly prostrated with grief and the funeral is said to have been one of the most sad as well as the largest in the remembrance of those attended. After the services the remains were laid to rest in the Haney Valley Cemetery beside the ashes of her father who preceded her in death years ago. It is needless to say that the heartfelt sympathy of all goes out to the bereaved ones in their sad affliction.
