From the Hartford Courant, March 04, 1994: Warren Barnum Brown, 67, of West Hartford, died Thursday (March 3, 1994) at Saint Francis Hospital, Hartford. Born in Winsted, he resided in West Hartford most of his life. He retired from the Institute of Living in 1991. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 96 of West Hartford, the Elks Club in Torrington, and Greens Wood Country Club. Survivors include; his former wife, Jane (Austin) Brown of West Hartford; two sons and their wives, Robert W. and Ann K. Brown of West Hartford, Douglas E. and Laura P. Brown of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, John and Leslie J. LaPre of Plainville; two grandchildren, John and Eric LaPre of Plainville; a sister and brother-in-law, Ralph and Arlene MacIntyre of West Hartford; two nephews, Craig R. MacIntyre of West Hartford, Glenn MacIntyre of Hartford. There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be Saturday (Mar. 5, 1994) at the Chapel of St. John's Episcopal Church, West Hartford at 1:00 p.m.. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Hospital, Oncology Department, 114 Woodland St., Hartford, CT.
