A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Otsego Farmer, Otsego County, New York, Thursday, October 18, 1956: Mrs. Alma Barnum. The death of Mrs. Alma Barnum, aged 98, occurred in the Otsego County Infirmary, Sunday. She was born in Middlefield Center, June 23, 1858, a daughter of Daniel Mason and Keziah Dutcher. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Middlefield Center in which she was very active for many years. She was the widow of Adelbert [sic] Barnum. Surviving relatives are a niece, Mrs. Fred Reynolds of Summit, N. J., and a nephew, Daniel E. Mason of Maplewood, N. J. The funeral was held Wednesday at 2 p. m., at the Ottman Funeral Home in Cherry Valley wilh the Rev. Paul Wagner, pastor of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was made in the Middlefield Center Cemetery.
