Wabash Pioneer Dies. Following a stroke of paralysis suffered last Wednesday, Mrs. Mary Bridges, aged 84 years, pioneer Wabash resident, died at her home Friday evening. She never rallied after losing consciousness Thursday.

At the time of her death all her children were here except Frank Bridges, of Pittsburgh, who arrived Saturday, including Edward Bridges of Wabash, summoned from Canada; Mrs James Batchelor and Mrs. O.S. Akers, of Wabash.

Since Civil War days Mrs. Bridges had made her home in Wabash and was
one of the city's highly respected residents. She was born in Darke county, Ohio, February 14, 1838, her maiden name being Mary Moore, daughter of James and Mary Moore. The family three years later moved to Fayette county, then to Jonesboro, where Mrs. Bridges lived until her marriage to Thomas Bridges, May 10, 1864, while he was home on a furlough. The couple moved here when Mr. Bridges was discharged from the army. Mr. Bridges died 25 years ago.

Besides the children named, Mrs. Bridges is survived by a sister, Mrs. Adelia Mariner, of Lagro; five grandchildren, Mrs. Harold Goehler, Mrs. Hazel Miller, Howard and Helen Birdges, and Floyd Akers; and five great-grandchildren, Mary and John Goehler, and Leroy, Herbert and Max Miller.
