The Herald Statesman, Yonkers, New York, Wednesday, May 16, 1979: Barbara J. Mahannah, 54, a Yonkers resident for the last 25 years died suddenly Tuesday in her home. She was employed as an administrative assistant for the Reformed Church of America for 19 years at the World Church Center in New York City. She also worked for the U.S. Department of State from 1944 to 1945. Miss Mahannah attended the National College for Christian Workers in Kansas City, Mo. and she was a member of the Reformed Church of Bronxville where she was a member of the church choir. She also was a member of the Southern Arts Society, Bronxville. Born on March 10, 1925 in Niagara Falls, N.Y. she was the daughter of Everett A. and Alice Boyd Mahannah, who live in Yonkers. Also surviving are two brothers, Alan Mahannah of Newburgh, Indiana and Gerald Mahannah of Niagara Falls, N.Y.
