Notes for Stanley Guy BARNUM


From the Bangor Daily News, 14 August 2012: Woodland- Stanley G. Barnum Jr. 66, died August 12, 2012 at Caribou. He was born in Caribou January 25, 1946 the son of the late Stanley and Louise (Nedeau) Barnum Sr. He was a graduate of Caribou High School and served in the US Army as well as the Maine Army National Guard for a number of years. Mr. Barnum was employed as the manager of Teleprompter Cable TV. He served as selectman for the town of Woodland as well as the cemetery sexton of the Woodland Cemetery for many years. Stanley also served as the code enforcement officer and plumbing inspector for several area towns and townships. He married Carol Black, September 2, 1972. Surviving in addition to his wife of Caribou are his two sons and a daughter in law; William Barnum and Alaina Pethick of Patten and Stanley Barnum III and his fiancée Patricia Conway of Woodland. Three sisters and brothers in law; Marion and Sydney Flannigan of Crescent Lake, Elizabeth and Carroll Short of Sumter S.C. and Gloria and Fred Finnemore of Woodland. One granddaughter; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Barnum was predeceased by two sisters Ruby and Pearl. A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held from the Woodland Cemetery with Rev. John Kiehn, officiating. Arrangements by the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou.
