Notes for Alfred Louis BRANDT


From the Schenectady Gazette, Schenectady, N.Y., Wednesday, January 3, 1962: Alfred L. Brandt, 84, of 83 Fairfax Avenue, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James C. Anderson Sr. of Colonie, following an illness of five years. Born in Denmark, Mr. Brandt had been a Schenectady resident for 60 years. He was employed for 32 years at the General Electric Co. where he worked in the industrial heating department. He was a member of the GE Quarter Century club and was one of the oldest members of the Danish brotherhood. Rev. William H. Coons of the Nlskayuna Reformed Church will conduct the funeral service Friday at 11 a.m. at Baxter's funeral parlors and burial will be at Vale Cemetery.
Survivors in addition to Mrs. Anderson are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Barnum of 33 Fairfax Avenue; a sister, Mrs. Thyra Tang of this city; two grandchildren, James C. Anderson Jr. and Robert A. Anderson; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
