From the Berkshire Evening Eagle, Pittsfield, Mass., February 7, 1947: Cheshire- The funeral of Gertrude Barnum Ferguson who died at the Kelson Nursing Home Wednesday will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Adams tomorrow afternoon at 2.30 Rev. Nelson W. Bryant, rector, will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. The body is at the McBride Funeral Home in Adams, and calling hours will be from 7 to 10 this evening. Mrs. Ferguson was born in Cheshire but moved to Adams with her parents while a child and resided there until coming to the Kelson Nursing Home three years ago. She was 76 years of age. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Fyfe of Ciudad, Victoria, Mexico, Mrs. Margaret Wanberg of Waltham, two sons, Thomas Cooley Ferguson of Baltimore, Md., and Frank L. Ferguson of Springfield, one brother William Barnum of Berlin, N.Y, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and a past noble grand of Golden Link Rebekah Lodge.
