Obituary, April 1988, Henry Co, Iowa: Pauline Elberta Davis Barnum. Mrs. Ralph C. Barnum, age 73 of 406 W. Webster, Mount Pleasant, Iowa died Sat, April 16, 1988 at the Henry County Health Center, Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
She was born April 17, 1915 in Memphis, MO, the daughter of J. Walter and Lola E. Davis Enness. On Oct. 25, 1949 at Mount Pleasant, she married Ralph Claude Barnum who survives.
Before her marriage, she worked at the Penney's store in Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mt, Pleasant; United Methodist Women, November Circle; Bethelehem Chapter no. 38 of the Order of Eastern Star, James Harlan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Country club on the River, a local quilting club, and was a past president of the Mt. Pleasant Women's club.
Surviving are her husband, one step-son Ralph; one stepdaughter Phillis, five step grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren, two sisters: Mrs. Noel Guinn and Mrs. John Nordberg, both of Mount Pleasant, Ia.
Her parents and two sisters : one infant sister and Anna McTee, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. George White and the Rev. Ronald Kramer will officiate, with interment in the Forest Home Cemetery. Friends may call as they desire at the Weir Funeral Home where a memorial has been established with her church.
