A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Times Union, Albany, New York, January 12, 2001: Poestenkill -- Marie E. Dunham, 76, of Main St., died on Wednesday (January 10) at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a short illness. Born and raised in Troy, she was daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth Stock Barnum and wife of the late Donald L. Dunham. Mrs. Dunham was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1942 and had resided at Snyder’s Lake before moving to Poestenkill in 1964. Mrs. Dunham had been a nursing aide at the Van Rensselaer Manor and retired in 1983. She was a member of the Poestenkill Christian Church of Disciples and was a member of the Leisurettes Bowling League at the Highway Bowl in Wynantskill. Survivors include, two daughters, Ruth Denue of Averill Park and Donna Mullen of Troy. Mrs. Dunham was the grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of seven. Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
