Silas Barnham, 45, M, Missionary, b. France
Maria Barnham, 42, F, b. New York
Rebecca Barnham, 14, F, b. New York
Mrs. Dunn, 74, F, b. New York
Also living in the same dwelling were the familes of Henry Matson, William F. Clark and William Plumer; a total of 22 persons living under the same roof.
Silas Barnham truly lived in interesting times, having been born in the French Empire during the second year of the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte and in the year of the famous Battle of Austerlitz. His occupation of missionary was somewhat unusual in the US 1850. The connection of his family to the rest of the Barnum/Barnham family tree has not been discovered.
