From the San Bernardino County Sun, California, Sunday, June 24, 1938: A California bride, even though she be a native daughter, must have special influence with the gods of weather to provide after a week of chilly evenings, so perfect a one for a garden wedding as was bestowed on Althea Flores Barnum, whose parents, Mr. & Mrs. J. Harold Barnum, gave her in marriage Thursday (June 21) evening to Ernest Martin, a company of a hundred guests forming the interested group present when Justice Russell Wickizer impressively put the vows of marriage at eight o’clock.
