Notes for Stephen BARNUM


He served during the Revolutionary War with the Connecticut Light Infantry (Colonel Whylis). He was with the Marquis de Lafayette in Virginia until rendered unfit for further duty by wounds received in battle at the siege of Yorktown. He spent most of his later life in Danbury, Connecticut, finally moving to Alford, Berkshire County, Massachusetts where he died.
