From the Middletown (NY) Daily Press, Saturday, August 20, 1892: Obituary Notes. --Mrs. Letitia S. Barnum, a former resident of this town, died at Nyatt Point, R. I., on the 9th inst. Mrs. Barnum's maiden name was Watts, and she was born in the vicinity of Bloomingburg. She was aged about 75 years. She removed with her husband George W. Barnum, now deceased, to Nyatt Point, where she has since resided, about thirty-two years ago. She leaves one son, Isaac T. Barnum, prominent in business and political circles in the State of her adoption.
