Notes for Levi Adam BARNUM
His middle name might have been Allan, according to Nancy Backus. He never married.
From the Greene County Examiner-Recorder, Catskill, NY, October 13, 1949: A gloom was cast over this valley on September 24 when word was received that Levi A. Barnum was found dead that morning in his home on Paradise Hill by his nephew, Elmer Barnum. It is believed that Mr. Barnum suffered a heart attack during the night. Mr. Barnum was born at Maplecrest on May 3, 1882, the son of the late Bethuel C. and Mary Bunt Barnum. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in the Maplecrest Methodist Church, of which the deceased was a member, on Tuesday at two o'clock. Rev. William Fox officiated. Burial was in Maplecrest Cemetery.
