The Barnum Family, 1350-1907 mistakenly shows him as the son of William, son of John, son of Ebenezer, son of Thomas, son of the immigrant ancestor Thomas Barnam. He was a carpenter and general contractor in Hannibal, Missouri.
Cemetery records show a birth date of 24 Apr 1844.
