Elizabeth was born to William Tait (1818-1896) of Ireland/Scotland/India and Elizabeth Xavier (1833-1914) of India. She was the 7th of 10 children, 6 boys and 4 girls. They lived in Cedar City until she married Charles Henry Barnum (1864-1931) of Summit Co, Utah on 17 Mar 1883 in the Saint George Temple, Washington, Utah. Charles and Elizabeth had 6 children, son William Tait Barnum and daughters Rhoda Tait, Esther Elizabeth "Lizzie", Lorenza B. "Renzie", Henrietta, and Lena Bell. Elizabeth died in Enterprise, Washington, Utah.
