From The Daily Review, Hayward, California, June 22, 1954: Graveside services at Lone Tree cemetery were held this morning for George Hoyt Barnum, 79, who died Thursday at the Laguna Beach home of his daughter Mrs. Ethel D. Bowers. A native of Connecticut, Mr. Barnum was a former resident of Hayward. He was active in the Hayward Methodist Church. A retired jeweler, his home when residing here was on A street. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Emma Barnum. Besides his daughter he also leaves a grandson, Eric Bowers.
