Her given name appears in her birth record as Tharmithus but she has been found in various records as Therm, Termutus, Termuthes and Thermuthus. This last spelling is used in an online genealogy of her family and descendants, and also appears as a given name in the genealogies of several unrelated families. Although the rarity of the name suggests that she was most likely named after Thermuthis (still another spelling), the daughter of Pharaoh in the Bible, this genealogy spells her name as it appears in the online genealogy mentioned above.
