In 1854 Louis lived in Shipton. It is said that he lived in Cleveland in 1857. At his death, Louis was 86 years old. He Died about 10:00 am.

From records of Mon Seigneur J. D. Bernier: Godfather Louis-Marie Bernier, Uncle; Godmother Marie-Louise Lemay-Poudrier. Burial Priest: H. Robson. In the marriage records his name was shown as "Pierre-Basile," his father's name.
