Berkshire Eagle, June 17, 1971: Philip Thomas Barnum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bethuel S. Barnum received a Masters of Divinity Degree from Emory University's Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, Ga. His parents and brother Bruce attended the graduation. The Barnums spent a week in Atlanta with Philip and his wife the former Peggy Beard of Gray, Kentucky.

Berkshire Eagle, Oct. 31, 1977, Rev. and Mrs. Philip T. Barnum and their son Stephen have returned Irvington, Kentucky after spending two weeks with Mr. Barnum’s parents. Rev. Barnum is pastor of United Methodist Church in Irvington.
