Ruth Elliott Barnum Ridder. Birth: Dec. 6, 1902; Death: Jan. 23, 1995. Ruth E. Ridder - Wednesday - January 25, 1995 Chelan - Ruth E. Ridder, 92, Chelan, formerly of Portland, Ore., died Monday evening, Jan. 23, 1995, at the Regency Manor Convalescent Center. She was born Dec. 6, 1902, at Cosmopolis, the daughter of O.S. and Grace (Elliott) Barnum. She attended school at Goldendale, where she graduated from high school. She taught at a country school for two years before graduating from Kinman Business College in Spokane. She moved to Portland, Ore., where she was employed as a secretary until her retirement in 1967. She has lived in Chelan since 1991 to be near her sister. Mrs. Ridder was a member of the Presbyterian Church and did volunteer work for many years for the Salvation Army. Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Vogler, Chelan. Arrangements are by Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan. Burial: Chelan Fraternal Cemetery, Chelan, Chelan County, Washington, USA. Plot: South Fraternal.
