From the Eugene Register-Guard (Oregon), February 8, 1944: Harry Lee Barnum, 30, Waterville, died Monday, February 7 at the Sacred Heart hospital from injuries received in a logging accident last Friday. He was employed by the March Logging Co. A limb from a tree struck him on the head. Barnum was born in Lane County, Oregon. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Barnum; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. M. L. Barnum of Pleasant Hill; his grandmother, Mrs. Alice Barnum, Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Remsburg of Milbrae, California and Mrs. Marie Fisch of Long Beach, California and one brother, Erwin.
