Lewis Gregory Pugsley, Jr., the son of Lewis Gregory Pugsley and Josephine Barnum was born May 20, 1885 according to his WWI draft registration. He married Jane Boynton in Syracuse on June 9, 1917. Jane was born in 1882 and died in 1970 according to her gravestone in Maple Avenue Cemetery, Patterson, NY. They had three daughters: Barbara, Margaret an Eloise.
From the Putnam County Courier, Carmel, NY, June 5, 1974: Lewis Pugsley, 89, of South St., Patterson, died June 2 at Kent Nursing Home. Born May 20, 1885, in Patterson, he was a son of Lewis G. Pugsley and Josephine Barnum Pugsley. He was educated in Patterson schools and was a member of the Patterson Presbyterian Church. He was a lifelong resident of Patterson and was a self-employed farmer. He is survived by three daughters, Miss Margaret and Miss Eloise Pugsley, both of the home address, and Mrs. Barbara Ward of Pawling; a brother, Sterling Pugsley of Patterson; a sister, Mrs. Towner Kent of Patterson; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
