Notes for Lura Grace BARNUM

From the Union Sun & Journal, Lockport, New York, Tuesday, August 6, 1957: Mrs. Parrish, 78, Dies In Virginia. Funeral services were held today in Fredericksburg, Va., for Mrs. Laura (sic Lura) G. Parrish, 78, a Wheatfield native, who died Sunday (Aug. 4, 1957) after a long illness.
Mrs. Parrish had been a member of Sanborn Baptist Church. She moved to Iona, Iowa after her marriage to Roderick Parrish, who died several years ago. Surviving is a brother, Ralph C. Barnum of Lockport.
Her gravestone shows her as Lura B. Parrish. The initial "B" may have stood for "Barnum", her maiden surname, but her middle initial was actually "G".
