Mrs. Maude A. Barnum Haffner, wife of Harold R. Haffner of Tampa, Fla. died Sept. 20 after a short illness. She was a former Pittsfield resident.

Born here, Mrs. Haffner had been employed at Eaton Paper Corp. before her marriage and while here, had been active in the First Methodist Church, Young Women's Club and the King’s Daughters of Berkshire County.

Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Guy Thomas, Mrs. Charles Olsen and Mrs. John Butler, and four sons, Ir win, Carl, George and Harold Jr., all of Tampa, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Lawrence G. Hamilton, Mrs. Henry G. Horn and Mrs. Linwood Fowler, all of Pittsfield, and Miss Leona Barnum of New York City; a brother, Lester T. Barnum of Sterling, Ill.; seven grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Services were held at the Hyde Park Methodist Church in Tampa.
