From The Lowell Sun, Massachusetts, Thursday, October 11, 1945: Burlington, at the Choate Memorial Hospital, Woburn, yesterday morning, Mrs. Florence Wisbey Barnum, 49, wife of D. Leland Barnum of Mill Street, Burlington died. The deceased was a native of Lowell and taught school in Dracut prior to coming to Burlington. For many years she was a worker for the Red Cross. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, David L. Barnum, Jr., recently discharged from the Army, a daughter Mrs. Robert Playfair of Boston and a grandson, Jonathan Barnum Playfair. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
