Notes for William H. LAW


From the Mason City Globe-Gazette, Mason City, Iowa, July 19, 1947: Funeral services for William H. Law, 82, of 101 22nd S. E., who died at a local hospital Wednesday morning following a lingering illness, will be held at the Meyer funeral home Friday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. James Miller of Bristol officiating. Mr. Law was born in Lincoln Township, Clear Lake, March 18, 1865, and farmed in the township, until retirement in 1912. He has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Lucille Caponi, in Mason City. Other survivors are: 3 brothers, James and George Law of Clear Lake and Thomas Law of St. Paul; 3 sisters, Mrs. Maurice Kimball, Everett, Wash.; Mrs. Clint Lackey, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Erie Peterson, Minneapolis; and one grandchild, Charles Caponi. Mr. Law was preceded in death by his wife in 1942. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until the service. Burial will be in Clear Lake cemetery.
