Notes for Donald C. BARNUM

From the Connecticut Post, Bridgeport, Connecticut, 27 December 2008: Donald C. Barnum, age 94 of Norwalk, died Thursday, December 25, 2008 in his home. Born in Norwalk, he was the beloved husband of 73 years to Julia (Mitaly) Barnum. He had worked for 40 years at Harrick's Dairy and more recently for the Town on Wilton. In addition to his loving wife Julia, Donald is survived by a son Donald A. Barnum and his wife, Peggy of North Carolina; a daughter, Jane E. Rebo and her husband, John of Wilton; six loving grandchildren, John, Bonnie, Donald, Karen, Tim and Tom; and 10 cherished great-grandchildren; as well as two sisters, Helen Van Brunt of New Jersey and Dorothy Crosby of Nevada. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk. His family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 208 Newtown Ave., Norwalk, CT 06851.
