From the Lima News, Lima, Ohio, Monday, September 6, 1971: Mrs. Della McElderry, 87, 405 N. Collett died Sunday at Springview Manor Nursing Home.
Born December 21, 1883, in Columbus Grove, Ohio she was the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth Barnum Keel. She married E. McElderry January 26, 1904, and he died in 1953. Survivors include three sons: (John) Marvin of Mesa, Ariz., Edwin of 954 E. High and Robert of 50 Runyan; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Harriett) Ewing of 61 Bristol; eight grandchildren; great - grandchildren; and two great - great - grandchildren. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
