Notes for Richard B. BARNUM
From the Daily Oklahoman (Oklahoma City, OK) - October 21, 1997: Richard B. Barnum passed away on October 19, 1997. He was born in Mooreland, Oklahoma September 21, 1952. Richard passed away from complications of cancer, chemotherapy and multiple surgeries. Richard was a member of the Mayflower Congregational Church. He was also active in the Kiwanis, National Council for the Social Studies, OEA and the Oklahoma Council for the Social Studies. He was a Social Studies teacher at Classen SAS and taught numerous cooking classes. Survivors include wife, Nancy; step-daughter, Jennifer Wall of Oklahoma City; mother, Mary Barnum of Bedford, Texas; brother, Ken Barnum of Houston, Texas; sister, Ethelyn Sharpe of Trinidad, Colorado, as well as aunts, uncles and numerous close friends. Richard was a teacher who loved his job and his students.
