Notes for Joseph BROWNELL

From the Scranton Truth, Scranton, Pennsylvania, September 30, 1907: Shortly after 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon Joseph Brownell, one of the city’s most highly esteemed residents, died at his home, 100 Spring Street, following a stroke of apoplexy. He was stricken while at his work in the shops of Contractor J.A. Hook last Monday. He was removed to his home and his condition gradually improved. Yesterday morning, however, he suffered a relapse and his condition gradually grew worse until the hour of his death.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon with interment in Maplewood Cemetery.
